Transition and Employment Designee
What is a TED? The TED is an employee in a district or charter school who is designated as the primary contact for transition and employment services for students with disabilities in special education programs. This role is required by Texas Education Code (TEC) §29.011(b).
Specialists will inform parents about the next steps from high school to post-secondary, residential, or day habilitations. They will assist with conducting a Functional Vocational Evaluation (FVE) or a Person Centered Plan (PCP) for your high school student.
